MAYNARD BEGINS
Working as an illustrator, Maynard's sole intent was to draw comic books and sequential art.
Besides rendering storyboards and countless freelance projects, he was multi-disciplinary employed painting murals, providing graphic design, copywriting, video production, and new business services pre-graduating college with a communications degree.

As comic books leaned into movies, Maynard gained inception to write screenplays. Along the way he has worked as an actor in commercials and films including CSI'S Miami prequel episode, Miami Vice (2006), and Ali (2001). These gigs have helped to teach him how to write scenes for actors to inhabit, live in the moment, and engage in realistic dialogue.
A few years later, Maynard produced and acted in a few independent films shot with a Canon XL1, one of which ended up in every Blockbuster video before it shut its doors. This experience led Maynard to realize working in the role of director would provide him the creative outlet to flex all his battle-tested, relevant skill sets. Maynard had set out to gain experience behind the camera, helming digital video commercials and video sales tools.
By day, Maynard works as a creative director/producer in 360 marketing for corporate and entertainment companies.
Weekly, Maynard provides outstanding solutions for fortune 500 companies including American Express, Bacardi, Hilton, and CBS.
This organized, multitasking professional brings brands to life from concept to production.
Maynard strategically flexes his heavyweight creative skill sets in a mix of artistic, marketing, and business expertise to formulate ideas that resonate and connect clients with their core audience. He always slays his deadlines and within budget. In this CD role, he has commanded large teams with many direct reports as well as working “hands on.”
Finding an outlet for his musical passions, Maynard has been a lauded, touring, national feature DJ and electronic music producer, a handful of dates per year, for over a decade. He cites structuring his DJ performances and writing music as training in how to tease, build, and release tension to entertain audiences in his screenplays he has written.
Championing the arts, and in pursuit of creative freedom, Geoffrey Maynard's career has been laden with trailblazing firsts and achievements.
Maynard's firsts include making history by painting the first New York/American style graffiti in Russia back in 1985 to glamorizing and introducing new events to an underground dance music scene under his event production brand, “Bring On The Beats.” As Executive Producer, Maynard featured legendary DJs and music producers in events he produced coast to coast in America.
With all he has accomplished in the arts, Maynard remains humble. His confidence lies in the validity and creativity of his spec screenplays that are suitable for studio or production company acquisition. They are also portfolio examples for him to be booked to pen for directors/producers or for writer's room employment. Loglines and summaries to his screenplays and properties link below.

FAQs
WHAT SERIES OR MOVIE WOULD BE YOUR FAVORITE TO JOIN A WRITER'S ROOM TO WRITE OR DEVELOP?
Say the word, I would be all in to continue or reboot "Miami Vice, Lost, Heat, X-Men, a Star Wars project, Abel Ferrah's Ms. 45, or HBO's The Leftovers."
I always wanted to explore Nora's and Kevin's trip to Miami. I would pen them stumbling into a white wear party that is really not a GR den. Imagine their confusion!
DO YOU PREFER WRITING FOR THE BIG OR SMALL SCREEN AND WHY?
I write both but I am able to flex more of my world-building skills on streaming shows and TV. I like to see the inhabited city as much a character as the characters. I also like to peer into the character's supporting cast's motivations.
HOW ARE YOU WITH ACCEPTING CRITIQUE OF YOUR WORK?
I respect others viewpoints. I am a creative Mandolorian and do not take feedback personal unless its something I painted as a kid and have framed and hung on my wall.
HOW ARE YOU WITH MEETING DEADLINES?
I live and die by them. I can proudly say I have not missed a deadline in over 23 years.
FUN FAQS
WHAT'S YOUR SECRET SUPERPOWER?
I have a photographic memory.
VAMPIRES OR ZOMBIES?
Zombies... but sliding to Vampires.
FAVORITE DESERT?
Entenmann's raspberry Danish. Half eaten before I get home from the supermarket.
